Grade 1 golfer Datu Villamor is 1st runner-up of JGFP Inter-School's lower school division

Promising Ateneo de Manila Grade School student athlete Datu Villamor (1-Masipag) showcased his prowess by securing the 2nd Placer/1st Runner-Up position in the Lower School Boys' 6 and Under Division Individual Category at the recently concluded Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) Interschool Championship on 16 February 2025. 

This was Datu’s very first inter-school tournament, and he trained and competed over a period of several months with great dedication. He actively participated in six out of the nine rounds, each one requiring early mornings, long hours on the course, and tremendous effort balancing both school and sports.

The tournament ran from 28 September 2024 to 16 February 2025 in the following venues: 

• February 16 – Royale Tagaytay Country Club

• January 26 – Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club

• January 12 – Royale Tagaytay Country Club

• November 24 – Riviera Sports Golf Country Club

• November 17 – Royale Tagaytay Country Club

• November 9 – Cattle Creek Golf and Country Club

• October 27 – Summit Point Golf & Country Club

• October 6 – Royale Tagaytay Country Club

• September 28 – Riviera Sports Golf Country Club

Datu completed six 18-hole tournament rounds, achieving podium finishes in five— including two 1st-place, two 2nd-place, and one 3rd-place rankings. He had a notable start and finish to the season, beginning with a 1st-place win in Round 1 and closing with another 1st-place finish in Round 9.
