Born-2012 Blue Eagles are RIFA Phase 2 Champs; Kyle Molina is MVP

Composed of players from Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) and Junior High School (AJHS), the Ateneo Varsity Midgets B (born 2012) football team dominated the RIFA Phase 2 Tournament, emerging as undefeated champions with an impressive record of zero losses and one draw. The Blue Eagles secured the title with a commanding 3-1 victory over De La Salle Zobel in the finals. Kyle Molina (7-Balmain), a key presence in the team’s defense as center-back, was named MVP for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

Rostered in the team are Sancho Bautista (6-Pignatelli), DK Catimbang (7-Briant), Nicolo Cruz (7-Baldinucci), Reign Cruz (7-Alvares), Matt Diaz (6-Canisius), Anton Flameño (7-Alvares), Iggy Flameño (7-Arrowsmith), Harvey Garcia (7-Andlauer), Domini Goduco (7-Alvares), Joaquin Kison (7-Berchmans), Raphael Lauzon (7-Arrowsmith), Zach Lucas (7-Baena), Timmy Lumauig (7-Baena), Kyle Molina, Enzo Tale (7-Alonso), Ram Tuazon (6-Berchmans), Teo Villanueva (7-Arrowsmith), and Bosco Virrey (7-Baena).

The team’s success was guided by the expertise of Head Coach Richard Torres, along with Assistant Coach Sorito Judal and Goalkeeper Coach Valentino Tolentino, whose leadership played a crucial role in the championship run.

The RIFA Phase 2 tournament ran from 14 December 2024 and was concluded on 8 March 2025 at the De La Salle Zobel football field in Muntinlupa.
