Grade 3 Atenean Euan Tejada wins silver for PH at int’l karate tourney in Indonesia

Incoming Ateneo de Manila grade 4 student Euan Tejada (formerly of 3-Daraitan) recently represented the Philippines at the 4th Shureido International Karate Cup 2025, held from 4-6 July 2025 at Gor Ciracas, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Euan stepped on the tatami mat and delivered an outstanding performance, winning the Silver Medal in the 10-Under Beginners Male Individual Kata category!
This prestigious tournament brought together over 2,300 young karateka from 14 countries, including Russia, Japan, Hong Kong, Oman, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. With participants coming from across the globe, the event showcased a diverse and competitive field of martial artists.
The Shureido Cup is a key regional event in the Shotokan Karate circuit, providing young athletes like Euan with a platform to gain international experience, participate in high-level training seminars, and compete against top-level opponents. It was not only a test of skill but also a celebration of discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
