A team of four Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) Lower School golfers earned top honors at the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) Friendship Golf Cup, held on 5 July 2025 at The Riviera Sports and Country Club in Cavite.

Team "Fore-of-a-Kind"—composed of Rupert Cariño (2-Dao), Cody Mercado (3-Samat), Nataniel Ilao (3-Makiling), and Datu Villamor (2-Acacia)— was declared Champion in the Lower School Division II Team Category. They were coached by Jong Castañeda.

Datu Villamor emerged as Champion in the Boys 6 and Under category (Division II), while Rupert Cariño claimed Champion honors in the Boys 7–8 category (Division II). Cody Mercado also distinguished himself by securing 1st Runner-Up in the Boys 7–8 category (Division II).

A Rare Feat: Datu Villamor Scores Second Hole-in-One in Under Two Months

A highlight of the tournament was a remarkable achievement by Datu Villamor, who recorded his second hole-in-one in less than two months during the event. Datu aced Hole No. 8, a 65-yard Par 3, using an 8-iron- an extraordinary feat for any golfer, and especially rare for a six-year-old.

On 5 July 2025, Datu Villamor scored his second hole-in-one in less than two months at the JGFP Friendship Golf Cup.

This quietly stunning moment, witnessed with joy and gratitude, underscored the young golfer’s talent and composure. The milestone was even featured on the Facebook pages of Tribune Golf and The Perfect Drive PH.

As previously reported on the Ateneo website, Datu made his first hole-in-one during the Pradera Verde Junior Open held in Pampanga on 11 May 2025.
