AJHS Student-Athlete Bear Morales Grabs 3 Golds at Fencing Invitational

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) student-athlete Bear Morales (7-Azevedo) brought home an impressive haul of three gold medals and one silver at the Ezkrima Fencing Invitational held on 13 July 2025 at Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa City.
Bear clinched gold in the U12 Sabre Individual, U12 Sabre Mixed Team, and Senior Sabre Mixed Team events, and earned silver in the U14 Sabre Individual category.
The by-invitation-only tournament featured Sabre, Foil, and Epee events across various age divisions for kids, teens, and adults.
A passionate fencer since Grade 6, Bear has proudly represented the Philippines in international competitions. Most recently, he competed in the 2025 First Hefeng Cup National Children and Youth Fencing Sports Competition held in Taiwan last March, where he ranked 38th out of 57 participants in the U11 division.
