Grade 9 Atenean Vito Tinio clinches win for PH in Thailand Jet Ski Tour

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Junior High School student Vito Tinio (9-Garnet) emerged victorious in Round 4 of the World Grand Prix #1 (WGP#1) Waterjet Pro Tour Thailand 2025, held in Phayao, Thailand, from 15 to 17 August 2025.
Competing in the Junior 13–15 Runabout 1100 Stock category, Vito outpaced nine racers from Thailand and Laos to claim the Round 4 championship title and secured second place overall in the series standings.
The event, held at Kwan Phayao in Mueang District, Phayao Province, was a major gathering of talent, featuring over 130 jet ski athletes from 45 teams across Thailand and neighboring countries.
Per online reports, Vito trained for months in Subic, Philippines, under the mentorship of Coach BJ Ang in preparation for the race. His latest triumph in Thailand further cements his status as one of Asia’s top young riders. Vito now sets his sights on international competitions, including the prestigious Jet Ski World Series, which stages races in Europe, Japan, and the USA.
