Coach Tab Baldwin renews with Ateneo for UAAP seasons 89–91

Ateneo de Manila University proudly announces that Head Coach Tab Baldwin has officially renewed his commitment to lead the Blue Eagles for UAAP Seasons 89–91.

The announcement was made by University President Fr Roberto Yap SJ following the traditional send-off Mass for the Ateneo Blue Eagles Men’s Basketball Team, held at the Jesuit Residence Chapel on Saturday, 20 Sept 2025.

“Thank you for building such a strong program the past years,” said Fr Bobby. “And we are happy you are renewing with us.”

Coach Baldwin, who has been instrumental in shaping Ateneo basketball into one of the most successful programs in collegiate sports, shared his excitement about the next chapter.

“With you guys, I will be able to be a part of rebuilding this program — bringing glory and success back to the hill.”

The announcement was warmly and happily welcomed by the team, who expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to continue working under Coach Tab’s leadership.

In a symbolic gesture of commitment, the renewal contract was signed right there at the chapel, just before the Blue Eagles set off for their highly anticipated first game against the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws at 2 PM.

Coach Tab’s renewal signals continuity and renewed focus as the Blue Eagles embark on their UAAP Season 89 campaign, aiming to reclaim their place at the top of collegiate basketball.
