The AGS swimmers’ stellar performance not only brought pride to their school community but also secured several of them a spot in the Quezon City delegation to the upcoming NCR Meet, where they will represent the city against top athletes from other Metro Manila divisions.
The Unit Meet is an annual multi-sport event organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) – Quezon City Division, bringing together athletes from private elementary and high schools across the city. The meet serves as the qualifying round for the National Capital Region – Palarong Panrehiyon, and ultimately for Palarong Pambansa, the Philippines’ premier student-athlete competition. This year’s swim meet saw hundreds of participants from various private institutions in Quezon City competing in age-grouped swimming events across different strokes and distances.
Their achievements reflect months of hard work, discipline, and dedication—both in the pool and in training. Special recognition also goes to the coaching staff and supportive families who continue to nurture the young athletes’ talents and sportsmanship.
