Do you have an idea you’ve always wanted to explore but are unsure of its outcome? Or an ongoing project that could benefit from interdisciplinary collaboration, especially by integrating arts and sciences?
Areté's Sandbox Residency Grant supports innovative, collaborative initiatives that combine research, artistic processes, and community engagement beyond the academic setting. It provides the resources for experimentation, ideation, and incubation to explore new problem spaces and develop creative solutions to society's pressing wicked problems.
Teams awarded with the grant will gain the following benefits:
- Php 100,000 in working capital
- Priority access to the Eugenio Lopez Jr. Makerspace (3D printers, laser cutters, milling machines, large format printers)
- Dedicated workspace in the Eduardo J. Aboitiz Sandbox Zone for the residency period
- Php 50,000 space-use grant for Areté facilities
- Participation in workshops on creative thinking, ideation, and problem-solving
