Ateneo Girls’ Volleyball Team clinches championship at BSM Term 1 Tournament

The Ateneo Girls’ Volleyball Team (AGVT) emerged as champions in the Girls U18 Category of the British School Manila (BSM) Term 1 Volleyball Tournament, held at BSM, Taguig, on 6 September (Preliminaries) and 27 September (Finals), 2025.
AGVT’s 14-player finals roster included players from ASHS and AJHS: Jelena Dait (12-Holland, Team Captain), Luanne Atienza (12-Oldcorne), Gian Damian (12-Acquaviva), Tiffany Foo (12-Ogilvie), Ysa Gomez (12-Pantalia), Thistle Chebat (11-Gavan), Luisa Del Prado (11-Torres), Chessca Malabanan (11-Bellarmino), Ainsly Santiago (11-Brebeuf), Aubrey Tay (11-Moscoso), Sabine Tomanan (11-Torres), Margaux Viola (11-Escribano), Jona Ajon (8-Fausti), and Avary Lister (8-Francisco).
Players who contributed during the preliminary round were Julia Mariano (11-Hoyos), Jem Ty (11-Perez), Ianne Valderama (11-Gavan), Hannah Villanueva (11-Bellarmino), Irene Yaranon (8-Del Castillo), and Louise Langbid (7-Ashley).
The team is led by Head Coach Babes Castillo, with Assistant Coaches Franz Damian and Jay Regala.
The Blue Eagles went undefeated throughout the tournament, securing dominant wins against teams from BSM, Domuschola International School, Junior Elite Volley Camp, and others.
