2nd grader Kean Esguerra zooms to gold in time trial, places 3rd in finals of karting tourney

AGS student Kean Esguerra (2-Guijo) proudly clinched the Gold medal in the Time Trial and secured 3rd place in the Heat Finals of the Cammus Ultimate Driver 3 Cadet Category.

The kart racing competition took place on 5 October 2025 at Drift Motor Speedway in Taytay, a venue known for hosting competitive karting events and providing a challenging track layout that tests drivers’ speed, precision, and handling skills. 

The Cammus Ultimate Driver 3 is part of a series of karting tournaments that draws young racers in various categories, including Cadet, where drivers compete in time trials, heat races, and final rounds to determine overall ranking. 

In the Time Trial, competitors aim to set the fastest lap time under controlled conditions, with no traffic or overtaking. Kean’s performance in this round earned him the top spot. In the Heat Finals, drivers race head-to-head in shorter races (heats), and Kean delivered a strong showing to finish 3rd against a competitive field of 18 racers.
