AGS Born-2015 DL Blue Eagles crowned 2025 PAYA 10U basketball Champions

The Ateneo de Manila Development League (DL) Born-2015 Blue Eagles emerged as the 10U champions of the 2025 Philippine Athletic Youth Association (PAYA) Basketball Championship, concluded on 22 November 2025 at Xavier School, San Juan.

Rostered in the team are James Dolera (5-Dumagat), Legend Quimpo (5-Tausug), Basti Castro (5-Yakan), Marco Saplala (3-Matutum), Justin Dua (5-Kalinga), Thirdy Sañosa (5-Mangyan), Joaquin Palma (5-Ati), Sumter Enrique (5-Dumagat), Alfonso Rodriguez (5-Manobo), Pablo Tadeo (5-Tausug), Seth Enrique (4-Agustin Sumuroy), Avery Cordova (4-Magat Salamat), Luke Ureta (5-Maguindanao), Tyler Serafica (5-Manobo), Kean Suarez (5-Ati), Alex Manlapaz (4-Maniago), Harvi Cipriaso (5-Mangyan), Nixon Lansangan (5-Ati), Ken Dominguez (4-Lakandula), and AR Arbison (3-Banahaw). The team was guided by Head Coach Ronald Perada and Assistant Coach Sieg Villanueva, whose leadership and commitment played a pivotal role in shaping the boys’ development and championship performance.

The PAYA Basketball Championship—one of the country’s longest-running and most respected youth sports leagues—regularly features strong developmental programs from leading Metro Manila schools. Among the institutions that participated in the league’s 2025 season were De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ), Claret School, Colegio San Agustin, Xavier School, and Xavier School Nuvali, alongside Ateneo de Manila.

The PAYA Basketball 10U division followed a multi-week format that began on 30 August 2025, with elimination rounds leading into the semifinals and the championship match. Games were held at Claret School in Quezon City and Xavier School in San Juan. The Ateneo DL2015 Team dominated the entire season with an undefeated sweep—winning all their elimination games, securing their finals berth convincingly, and capping their campaign with an impressive championship victory. Throughout the tournament, the boys demonstrated exceptional defense, unselfish playmaking, and unwavering composure—hallmarks of the Blue Eagle brand of basketball. Their heart, discipline, sportsmanship, and grit shone from start to finish, bringing pride to the Ateneo community.
