AGS Born-2015 football varsity places 3rd at 2025 Borneo Cup

The Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) Football Varsity Midgets D (Born 2015) showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination at the 2025 Malaysia Borneo Football Cup U10 Category, held 26–29 September 2025 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
Competing against elite youth teams from across Asia, our Blue Eagles battled through a minimum of five high-level matches on a 3/4 sized pitch in this international tournament, officially sanctioned by the Football Association of Malaysia and the Sabah FA. Their impressive performance earned them a fantastic 3rd place finish, marking a proud moment for AGS on the international stage.
The team is composed of talented Grades 4 and 5 student-athletes: Matteo Bartolome (5-Yakan), Marcus Bonto (5-Bagobo), Jaime Gabasa (5-Subanon), Jace Go (5-Ati), Jacob Monsanto (5-Ati), Latif Moti (5-Subanon), Jaden Omadto (5-T’boli), Jericho Quierrez (5-Dumagat), Dustin Ramos (5-T’boli), Ethan San Diego (5-Manobo), Edward Superable (5-Maranaw), Thomas Tan (4-Lapu-Lapu), Andre Templo (4-Humabon), Patrick Tiotuyco (5-Subanon), and Mattheus Verzosa (5-Maguindanao).
Guided by Coach Paul Madrona and Coach Rafael Cruz, with support from Coach Sean Alli, the team demonstrated not only technical skill but also exemplary sportsmanship and teamwork. This accomplishment highlights the dedication of both players and coaches and serves as an inspiration for all AGS student-athletes.
