AGS Midgets bring home bronze at 2025 Xavier Badminton Cup

The 2025 Xavier Cup for Badminton took place on 19 October 2025, at Centro Atlético, and the AGS Boys Midgets Team delivered a commendable performance. The team, composed of Noah Callanta (6-Faber), Acz Clutario (6-Gonzaga), Bruce Santiago (6-Pignatelli), Clei Marquez (5-Maranaw), and David Callanta (3-Pulog) — proudly brought home the Bronze Medal. Coached by Jake Nieves, the Blue Eagles swept the elimination round with an undefeated 3–0 record, defeating UNO, St. Jude, and Jubilee Christian Academy. Their strong teamwork carried them through the tournament, and they only fell short in the semifinals against MGC New Life Christian Academy.
The tournament was a showcase of emerging young talent, with teams from various schools and clubs across Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The Blue Eagles stood out for their cohesion, strategic plays, and unwavering spirit even under pressure. Their Bronze finish highlights not only their skill but also their resilience and camaraderie — traits that bode well for future competitions.
