ASHS Blue Eagles Caluya and Ongpin sweep badminton singles and advance to QC Division Meet!

ASHS Blue Eagles Jerome Caluya (12-Walpole) and Quito Ongpin (11-Brebeuf) both won gold medals in Singles A and Singles B secondary boys, respectively, in the Quezon City Unit Meet for Badminton held on 29 September 2025 at Centro Atletico in QC.
Both athletes were unbeaten in the knockout format, besting the winners from the various congressional districts representing all QC private schools. With their gold medals, Caluya and Ongpin are recognized as the champions for all private schools in QC for the boys’ secondary singles events. They will now face the singles champions of the QC public schools in the upcoming Quezon City Division Meet, scheduled for 15-16 November 2025. This crucial battle will determine who will ultimately represent QC badminton in the NCR Division Meet.
