Grade 3 gymnast Gabriel Tacorda grabs gold for PH in Thailand tourney

Representing the Philippines through their respective private gymnastics clubs, three students from the Ateneo de Manila Grade School brought home medals from the 4th JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championships 2025, held at Fashion Island, Bangkok, Thailand, from 23–25 October 2025.

In the Level 1 (under 8) division, Gabriel Tacorda (3-Mayon) delivered an exceptional performance. He won the Gold Medal in the Individual All-Around, Bronze in Floor, Bronze in Pommel, and placed 5th in Vault. Also in Level 1, Joe Mendoza (3-Pulog) earned a Silver Medal in the Individual All-Around after showing consistent performances across his events.

In the Level 2 under 9 category, Bryan Mojica (4-Dagohoy) showcased strong determination and skill, winning the Bronze Medal in the Individual All-Around.

The JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championships featured participants from Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Russia, and Singapore. This wide participation highlighted the level of competition and the diversity of talent present throughout the event. The achievements of the AGS gymnasts reflect their dedication, discipline, and the quality of their training as they competed among some of the best young athletes from Asia and beyond.
