ASHS skater Miki Pe Aguirre to represent PH in 2025 SEA Games Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament
05 Dec 2025
Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) student-athlete Miki Pe Aguirre (12-Sullivan) will be competing in the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, where she will proudly represent the Philippines in the Women’s Ice Hockey division.
The 33rd SEA Games will take place from 9 to 20 December 2025 in Bangkok and Chonburi, Thailand, with ice hockey included among the official medal events. The Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament is scheduled from 9 to 19 December 2025.
Miki enters the SEA Games fresh from a historic victory earlier this year. She was a member of the Philippine Women’s Ice Hockey Team that clinched the championship title—for the first time ever—at the 2025 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women’s Asia Cup, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 31 May to 6 June 2025. This breakthrough win marked a major achievement not only for the team but also for Philippine ice hockey as a whole.
As one of the youngest and newest members of the national team, Miki has already made a remarkable impact. Her dedication and discipline continue to push the team forward, proving that women have a rightful place in traditionally male-dominated sports like ice hockey. In a tropical country where ice is scarce, she shows that champions are not shaped by cold arenas alone, but by resilience, passion, and heart.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Miki also excels academically. She is part of the honor roll and serves as the secretary of the Ateneo Pre-Medical Society, demonstrating both her leadership and her commitment to balancing rigorous academics with elite sport.
As Miki prepares for the 2025 SEA Games next week, the ASHS community stands proudly behind her — cheering not only for Miki but for the entire Philippine Women’s Ice Hockey Team as they carry our nation’s colors on the international stage. We wish them the very best of luck and look forward to celebrating their continued success. AMDG!
