AGS Midgets C/White Football Team wins Xavier Cup, secures podium finish in LBC Festival

The Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) Midgets C Football team capped off December 2025 with strong performances in two major tournaments: the Xavier Football Cup U11 Mixed Category and the LBC Football Festival 2025 U11. Fielding a 20-player roster, the team was divided into two squads—AGS White and AGS Blue—which competed in both tournaments. AGS White won the Xavier Cup title and placed second in LBC, while AGS Blue finished both the Xavier Cup and LBC Cup as 3rd runners-up. The AGS Midgets C team was coached by Sorito A. Judal Jr. and Rafael Cruz.
In the Xavier Football Cup, a one-day competition held on 6 December at Xavier School in San Juan City, AGS White dominated the elimination round, advanced to the finals, and edged Malaya FC, 1–0, in the championship match to claim the U11 title.
The AGS White team was composed of Andrei Castañeda (6-Bellarmine), Lucas Chuidian (6-Hurtado), Jared de Guzman (6-Canisius), Miro de Guzman (6-Miki), Maru Esgrina (6-Regis), Migo Gerial (6-Miki), Yñakhi Lao (6-Berchmans), Sochi Osite (5-T'Boli), Javi Sumpaico (6-Brebeuf), and Max Unson (6-Kostka).
On the other hand, the AGS Blue team consisted of Alonso Azores (5-Tausug), Hyde David (6-Faber), Koji de Villa (6-Brebeuf), Sam Krijns (5-Mangyan), Anton Landicho (6-Regis), Zico Mendoza (6-Xavier), Marcus Tale (6-Xavier), Evan Tupaz (5-Mangyan), Luis Vergara (6-Gonzaga), and Gabby Villanueva (6-Brebeuf).
In the same tournament, AGS Blue also advanced to the semifinals after a strong elimination round and eventually placed fourth in the Xavier Cup.
The following week, on 13 December, both teams returned to action at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila for the LBC Football Festival. In the elimination round, AGS Blue topped Group C, while AGS White advanced from Group B. Both teams prevailed in the quarterfinals, setting up an all-Ateneo semifinal that was decided via a penalty shootout.
AGS White emerged victorious and moved on to the finals, while AGS Blue bowed out and finished in fourth place. In the final, AGS White battled Paulstiga Soccer Academy to a scoreless draw before settling for a first runner-up finish after a penalty shootout.
