AGS Table Tennis Team wins Bronze at inaugural Xavier Cup

The Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) Table Tennis Varsity Team clinched the Bronze Medal in the Midgets Team Division at the inaugural Xavier Cup, held last 11 January 2026 at Xavier School in San Juan. This marked the team’s first tournament of the new year, making the podium finish even more meaningful. 

The team is composed of captain Titus Pachica (4-Lakandula), co-captain Philo Go (5-Subanon), Marius Allas (6-Kostka), Rafa Tongson (5-T’Boli), Caian Sanidad (4-Agustin Sumuroy), and Karl Guanio (3-Apo). The team extends its gratitude to Coach Leo Raymundo for his guidance and unwavering support throughout the competition. 

What made this achievement especially remarkable was that, although the Midgets Division allowed Junior High School players, AGS was one of only two schools to field a team composed entirely of Grade School students—showcasing heart, grit, and fearless play against older competition. The tournament featured strong teams from Xavier School, La Salle Green Hills, La Salle College Antipolo, International School Manila, MCG New Life Christian Academy, and Uno High School.
