AJHS's Ethan Santos and Trent Ignacio win gold at Excalibur Fencing Meet

Two Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) fencers, Ethan Santos of 7–Aranha and Trent Ignacio of 7–Baena, each clinched a gold medal at the Excalibur Fencing Tournament held on 18–19 October 2025 in Makati.
Ethan captured gold in the U-14 Men’s Sabre event, while Trent topped the U-12 Men’s Sabre category. Both athletes competed against fencers from various fencing clubs and school teams across Metro Manila, showcasing skill, focus, and true Atenean grit.
The Blue Eagles Sabre team is coached by Edward Daliva and Rebekah Reyno.
