Blue Eagles secure 1st runner-up finish at PAYA Table Tennis Midgets tourney

Comprised of Blue Eagles from Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) and Junior High School (AJHS), Team Ateneo secured 1st Runner-up honors in the Midgets Division of the Philippine Athletic Youth Association (PAYA) Table Tennis Tournament last 15 February 2026 at Xavier School in San Juan.

Leading the charge were team captain Titus Pachica (4-Lakandula), co-captain Philo Go (5-Subanon), Marius Allas (6-Kostka), Rafa Tongson (5-T’Boli), Karl Guanio (3-Apo), and Seve Santos (AJHS 7-Borgia), under the guidance of Coach Leo Raymundo.

Facing formidable squads from La Salle, Lourdes School, and host Xavier, the Blue Eagles displayed steady composure, sharp strategy, and unwavering grit throughout the tournament. Each match highlighted the team’s discipline and determination at the tables, as they rose to the challenge against seasoned opponents.

With every competition, the team continues to elevate its level of play. Their runner-up finish at PAYA reflects months of rigorous training and teamwork, and underscores the bright future ahead for these young paddlers as they continue to grow in skill and confidence.
