Ateneo Midgets D secure double podium at 2026 Philippine Cup

22 Mar 2026

The Ateneo de Manila Grade School Midgets D football varsity delivered a standout performance at the Philippine Cup held in Clark, Pampanga, last 20-21 February 2026. Fielded as two separate squads- Blue and White- to maximize competitive experience, our young booters showcased both their technical growth and the Magis spirit that defines the Blue Eagles.

Both teams navigated a highly competitive field to secure impressive podium finishes:

Ateneo Midgets Blue earned 1st Runner Up in Division 1 with players Luke Tadeo (5-Bagobo), Ethan San Diego (5-Manobo), Sid Leal (4-Maniago), Edward Superable (5-Maranaw), Marcus Bonto (5-Bagobo), Jacob Monsanto (5-Ati), Patrick Tiotuyco (5-Subanon), and Felipe Montemayor (4-Marikudo).

Ateneo Midgets White secured 2nd Runner Up in Division 2 with players Matteo Bartolome (5-Yakan), Matti Verzosa (5-Maguindanao), Jace Go (5-Ati), Thomas Tan (4-Lapu-Lapu), Jaime Gabasa (5-Subanon), Jericho Quirrez (5-Dumagat), Latif Moti (5-Subanon), and Dustin Ramos (5-T’boli).

These twin podium finishes underscore the depth of the Ateneo football program and the bright path ahead for our 2015-born champions.
