Grade 2 student earns bronze for PH at ASEAN Jiu Jitsu Tournament

Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) student Liam Medina (2-Dao) showcased determination and skill as he competed in the ASEAN International Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship 2026, held on 8 February 2026 at Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City.
Liam participated in the Weight Division Light Feather, Gray Belt Kid 3 category, where he went up against young athletes from across the region. Demonstrating focus and resilience on the mat, he secured 3rd Place, earning a well-deserved bronze medal.
Sanctioned under the Asian Sports Jiu‑Jitsu Federation (ASJJF), the international competition gathered talented jiu-jitsu practitioners from countries across Southeast Asia, providing a platform for young athletes like Liam to test their skills and gain valuable experience.
