Grade 2 student Liam Medina earns bronze for PH at ASEAN Int'l Jiu Jitsu Open 2026

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Grade School student-athlete Liam Medina (2–Dao) competed in the ASEAN International Jiu Jitsu Open Championship 2026, held on 7-8 February 2026 at Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City. This was his first time to compete in an international tournament.
Competing in the Light Featherweight Division, Gray Belt Kid 3 category, Liam delivered a strong performance and earned 3rd Place (Bronze Medal) in the tournament.
The tournament gathered young Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners from various clubs and schools across the Philippines and the ASEAN region, providing a venue for athletes to test their skills in a competitive international setting.
Congratulations to Liam on this impressive achievement in his debut international competition!
