Guidelines RE: Parking, Drop-off and Pick-Up on A-SHAPE Days (10-11 January 2026)

09 Jan 2026

The Ateneo Senior High Admission and Placement Exam (A-SHAPE) will be held on 10-11 January 2026, Saturday and Sunday. There will be two exam sessions on each of the two days: The morning session is from 7:30am to 12:00pm (with assembly at 6:30 am) and the afternoon session is from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm (with assembly at 11:30 am).

Assembly and lining-up of examinees will be at the 2nd Floor of the Formation and Learning Center (FLC) of the Senior High School. All examinees are expected to be in the assembly venue 30 minutes before 6:30 am and 11:30 am respectively. The examinees must remember their exam room code and seat number which will be emailed to them the day before the exam. (Examinees must have a printed copy of their exam permit, and are advised to write their room code and seat number at the back of their permit.) From the assembly area, examinees will be ushered to their testing rooms in the Senior High School Building at 6:30 am and 11:30 am so that they may begin taking the exam at exactly 7:30 am or 1:30 pm respectively. Examinees will not be allowed to go directly to the Senior High School Building; all must go to the FLC. Examinees must not be late.

*Please expect heavy traffic in the High School complex on the test dates and make sure to plan accordingly.

The following guidelines regarding parking, drop-off and pick-up will be implemented to make the flow of traffic manageable. We ask the examinees and their parents, guardians, companions and drivers to observe the following guidelines.

1. Entry gates and entry pass
For those with vehicles, enter through Gate 3.

For pedestrians:
If you are coming from Aurora Boulevard, you may take a tricycle at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and Katipunan. Tricycles with Ateneo stickers can bring you directly to the High School campus.

For Saturday examinees who prefer to walk, you may enter through Pedestrian Gate 1 or Gate 2.5 (both gates are closed on Sundays). From the Grade School Drop-off A (beside Gate 1), you may take a Line A E-jeep, which operates every Saturday from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Alight at Xavier Hall and transfer to a Line B E-jeep, which will take you to the FLC. Only Gate 3.5 Pedestrian Gate is open every Sunday.

If you are coming from the UP side, please enter through Pedestrian Gate 3.5, located across the Regis Building, Katipunan. On Saturdays from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, you may take a Line B E-jeep from Arete, which will take you directly to the FLC. Please note that E-jeeps may experience delays due to traffic and can fill up quickly with other passengers. Alternatively, you may walk to the Ateneo Senior High School from Pedestrian Gate 2.5 (across National Book Store and Jollibee) or Gate 3.5. If you arrive early, a leisurely morning walk can be refreshing and invigorating.

Other Access Gates
Examinees and their companions coming from Barangka may pass through the Hagdan Gate (6). These gates will be open from 5:30 am to 7 pm.

*All applicants are required to present their exam permits at all entry gates. Thus, examinees must have their printed exam permit ready. Examinees are also asked to leave copies of their exam permit with their companions and/or drivers, especially if these companions and/or drivers plan to leave the campus and re-enter at a later time to pick up the examinees. Drivers are asked to display the copy of the exam permit on the dashboard when entering the gates. Examinees and fetchers without exam permits will not be allowed to enter the campus.

2. Drop-off Areas (before the exam) and Parking
For all examinees - Morning Session and Afternoon Session:

Vehicles may drop-off the examinees at the Senior High School Formation and Learning Center (FLC). but the vehicles cannot park or loiter in the vicinity of the FLC. Vehicles must immediately exit the SHS area and either exit the campus or proceed to the parking areas. Parking will be only available at the JHS Carpark (please see the map below). After drop-off, examinees must immediately proceed to the 2nd Floor of the Formation and Learning Center. Examinees who come on foot must also proceed immediately to the 2nd Floor of the Formation and Learning Center. 3. Pick-up points after the exam
For examinees in the Morning Session:

Examinees will not be allowed to loiter in the high school area after the exam.

Applicants who are on foot are requested to immediately leave the high school grounds and walk toward any of the gates of the campus to exit to Katipunan. All are reminded to bring umbrellas. Some may be able to catch the E-jeeps that will stop briefly near Moro Lorenzo Gym and Bay 2 after these vehicles have turned around from bringing the incoming afternoon examinees to the FLC.

Vehicles of morning examinees may pick-up the examinees at the Junior High School Bays 1 and 2 starting 12:10 to 12:20 pm. Morning examinees may wait along the Junior High School inner driveway, and then cross to Bays 1 and 2 using the pedestrian lanes once their vehicles are there. All examinees are reminded to bring umbrellas. Please note that vehicles will not be allowed to park and loiter in the High School driveways or parking bays. Vehicles that loiter in Bays 1 and 2 will be asked to exit the high school area. Applicants are asked to quickly board their vehicles and exit the high school grounds. This request is out of consideration for the afternoon examinees whose vehicles may be delayed if the vehicles of the morning examinees clog the lanes. We ask the morning examinees (and their drivers) to give utmost consideration to the afternoon examinees.

For examinees in the Afternoon Session:

The afternoon examinees who finished the A-SHAPE may be picked up by their vehicles at the Ateneo High School driveway, Bays 1 and 2. Vehicles of fetchers for the afternoon exam will be allowed to park in the high school parking area starting at 4 pm. Afternoon examinees may also choose to walk toward any of the gates of the campus to exit to Katipunan. (There will be no shuttle service to the gates.)

4. Waiting Area for Companions of Examinees
Parents and guardians of examinees who will choose to stay in the campus while waiting may stay in the Cafeteria on the first floor of the Formation and Learning Center (FLC). They will not be allowed to go up to the second floor examinee assembly area or to the Senior High School Building. Strolling anywhere else in the Ateneo High School premises while waiting is not allowed. Meals and snacks will be sold in the cafeteria.

Only one companion per examinee will be allowed. Companions who enter the FLC are asked to observe the proper dress code. No pets will be allowed in the waiting area or in the high school campus.

UP Town Center (mall) is near Ateneo, and may be a good place for companions to wait.
