SUBJECT:
Work Arrangements for Employees Affected by the Strike on 19 March 2026
In response to the transport strike tomorrow, 19 March 2026, special work arrangements are extended to employees reporting to the Loyola Heights campus. The mode of work during this period is onsite for employees to be able to support the schools that will continue to hold classes either onsite or online, and the regular operations of the other sectors of the University.
In consideration for commuters who may experience difficulties traveling to and from work, employees whose areas will be affected by the transport strike may:
- work from home after seeking permission from their supervisor/office head; or
- file their emergency leave with express approval from their supervisor, if their work cannot be performed from home.
Employees in Basic Education shall follow the work arrangements provided by their respective School Heads (Principals and Headmaster), as stated in the attached Memo#20.1 on the Revised Guidelines on the Cancellation or Suspension of Classes at the Ateneo de Manila University – Basic Education. For employees under the Mission Integration Cluster who are deployed to the Basic Education, please comply with the instructions of the Assistant Vice President for Ignatian Spiritual Formation and the Assistant Vice President for Health, Care and Well-being.
Employees from the School of Government, School of Medicine and Public Health, Law School, and Graduate School of Business shall follow the directions on work arrangements provided by their respective deans.
Please be guided accordingly.
