Blue Pass Protocols under Alert Level 1 (OVPAIS Memo, 2 Mar 2022)

02 Mar 2022 | Office of the Vice President for Administration & Information Systems

DATE:             2 March 2022

MEMO TO:    The University Community

FROM:            Rodolfo P. Ang, Vice President for Administration & Information Systems

RE:                  Blue Pass Protocols under Alert Level 1

NCR has been placed on Alert Level 1 yesterday.

After reviewing the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for Covid-19 Response and Resolution No. 163-A placing NCR to Alert Level 1 dated February 27, 2022, and discussing these with the different stakeholders in our community, we are pleased to announce the following changes in our Campus Access, Health Monitoring and Contact Tracing protocols, effective 2 March 2022:

  1. The Daily Health Declaration Form is no longer required as a prerequisite to the issuance of the daily personal Blue Pass QR code.
  2. Body temperatures will no longer be checked at the various unit access points.
  3. However:
    1. We will continue using Blue Pass as the primary campus access platform going forward.   Anyone wishing to enter the campus must continue to generate the daily Blue Pass QR codes to gain entry.
    2. Campus access continues to be restricted only to fully vaccinated individuals, or unvaccinated persons who have undergone an RT-PCR test and received a negative test result no more than 14 days prior to the scheduled date of entry. (The Ateneo Blue Swab Facility or the Makati branch of New World Diagnostics Inc, are the only two testing facilities accredited by the Ateneo for this purpose).
    3. We request everyone to continue scanning building QR codes prior to entry into any building so that we will be prepared to do the appropriate contact tracing whenever it becomes necessary.
  4. Beginning today, daily Blue Pass QR codes can be generated any time after 10 pm the night before your scheduled entry. This QR code will be valid from 12:01 am to 12 midnight the next day. (Alternatively, you may continue to generate this Blue Pass QR code on the day of your entry.)

The above protocols will be in place for as long as NCR is kept under Alert Level 1.  We will return to our original protocols if the NCR Alert Level is increased at any point.

The safety of our entire community continues to be of paramount concern regardless of Alert Level 1. We request every one to take joint responsibility for the wellness of our community by refraining from coming to campus if you are experiencing a fever, cough or colds, or any of the other symptoms of possible COVID infection. In such a situation, you can immediately get in touch with one of our clinic hubs to properly consult on your medical condition.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and welcome back on campus.
