Now Allowed on Campus: Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities (OVPLS Memo)

29 Mar 2022 | Office of the Vice President for the Loyola Schools

MEMO TO:          Loyola Schools Community

MEMO FROM:     [Sgd.] Maria Luz C Vilches, PhD

                              Vice-President for the Loyola Schools

RE:                        NOW ALLOWED ON CAMPUS:   CO-CURRICULAR AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR

                             ACTIVITIES

We are happy to inform the community that on Monday, March 28, 2022, the Quezon City Government gave the Loyola Schools a certification allowing us to conduct on-campus co- curricular and extra-curricular activities.

We applied particularly for the following on-campus activities. On the list too are the respective units responsible for overseeing these activities and for providing details of information on these.

1. ROTC training (Office of the Associate Dean for Student Formation)

2. Internships (Academic Departments and Programs and the Office of Placement and Career Services)

3. Activities of student organizations and the student council (Office of Student Activities)

4. Campus tours for first and second-year students and prospective students (Office of the Associate Dean for Student Formation)

5. Processing sessions for formation activities (various offices under the Student Formation Cluster)

6. Masses, recollections, and retreats (Office of Campus Ministry)

7. On-campus training of student-athletes (Office of College Athletics)

8. Talks sponsored by various offices for students (Various offices of the Loyola Schools)

We would also like to take this opportunity to announce to all Loyola Schools students that under Alert Level I, on-campus non-contact sports activities (swimming, running, biking, walking, etc) are also allowed. Loyola Schools students who would like to swim may contact the LS Physical Education Department (pe.ls@ateneo.edu) while students who want to run, bike, or walk just need to make a request for campus access through the Student Campus Access Request Form at go.ateneo.edu/LSStudentCARForm.

We hope to see more students on campus. It will make for a livelier experience for us all.
