Subject: Reminders from Rizal Library

Peace!

We would like to make the process of saying goodbye to SY 2021-2022 as painless as possible, so we hope you can take a look at the reminders below.

GRADUATING STUDENTS
Congratulations! We want you to know that it was our pleasure to serve you over the last four or five years. If you haven’t visited the Rizal Library recently, please take time to do so. We are pleased to inform you of the following:

1. ALL unpaid printing or overdue fees incurred before 14 March 2020 are waived. Consider this our graduation gift for you.

2. If you still have library books in your possession AND wish to avoid having your name included in the Hold Order List, please return *all* books on or before Monday, 30 May 2022. You may return them personally or through courier service at the Rizal Library’s Circulation Counter or simply drop your books at any of the book chutes outside Matteo Ricci Hall, First Pacific Hall, and the Special Collections Building. Will you have to pay overdue fees? See No. 1.

3. Please remember that you have access to the Rizal Library’s databases until 31 August 2022. This, we hope, will encourage you to continue learning, even as you prepare for the next stage in your journey through life.

ALL OTHER STUDENTS
We look forward to seeing you in person, especially the freshies. In the meantime, we hope the following assurances will keep you from worrying about getting a hold order:

1. If you borrowed a book this semester AND wish to avoid having your name included in the Hold Order List, please return *all* books borrowed this semester and settle any fines on or before Monday, 30 May 2022. You may return them personally or through courier service at the Rizal Library’s Circulation Counter or simply drop your books at any of the book chutes outside Matteo Ricci Hall, First Pacific Hall, and the Special Collections Building.

2. If you borrowed a book before March 2020 AND have not returned it, your name will NOT be included in the hold order list until the end of the First Semester SY2022-2023. Overdue fees for these unreturned books are waived from 14 March 2020 until the end of the First Semester of SY 2022-2023.

3. If you cannot return books borrowed this semester by May 30, note that your name will be AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED IN THE HOLD ORDER LIST, and that there is no guarantee that the hold order can be removed immediately upon return of the books or payment of fines. Fines will also be imposed during the break.

4. Please remember that you have access to the Rizal Library’s databases until 31 August 2022. This, we hope, will encourage you to continue learning, even as you prepare for the next semester.

If you have any questions regarding clearance or hold orders from the Rizal Library that are not addressed in this email, please address them to circulation.rl.ls@ateneo.edu. For all other questions, please send them to rizal.library.ls@ateneo.edu.

Good luck on your final exams!
