Important Reminders for All Graduating College & Graduate Students Batch 2022 (OVPLS)

1. Completion of application for Student Clearance with the Registrar’s Office

Clearance is a requirement for inclusion in the official list of graduates & commencement exercises.

2. Instruction Video and Graduation Announcements

In lieu of graduation rehearsals, an instruction video will be posted on this site by August 22: http://go.ateneo.edu/LSPagtatapos2022.

The commencement activities will be live streamed from this site: https://www.ateneo.edu/ls/commencement.

Please monitor these sites for memos, updates, and other graduation-related announcements.

3. Distribution of Graduation Memo, Invitations, Tickets, and Togas

When: August 16 – 18 and 20, 2022
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 nn, 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Where: Faber Hall 101

REMINDERS:
1. Baccalaureate Mass and LS-wide Commencement Rites
a. Each graduate will receive one ticket for the Baccalaureate Mass and LS-wide Commencement Rites.
b. Each graduate will receive two (2) tickets for the livestream areas. Guests of graduates will NOT be allowed inside the covered courts during the Baccalaureate Mass and LS-wide Commencement Rites. Guests will be directed to the livestream areas.
c. Only graduates and guests with tickets will be allowed inside the campus. Tickets must be shown at the gates upon entering the campus.

2. School Commencement Exercises
a. For the GBSEALD/SOH/SOSE, SOSS, and JGSOM Commencement Exercises, each graduate will receive one (1) ticket for himself/herself and two (2) tickets for guests. Only two (2) guests per graduate will be allowed inside the covered courts.
b. Only graduates and guests with tickets will be allowed inside the campus. Tickets must be shown at the gates upon entering the campus.

3. Please bring your Ateneo ID or any valid ID (with photo and signature) when claiming your toga, invitation, and tickets. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT YOUR ID OR THE E-RECEIPT OF YOUR TOGA RENTAL PAYMENT TO THE GUARD BEFORE ENTERING THE CAMPUS.
4. You may authorize a representative to claim your toga, invitation, and tickets. The authorized representative must present the following: 1) a letter of authorization signed by the student; 2) a photocopy of the student’s ateneo ID or any valid ID bearing the student’s photo and signature; 3) original and photocopy of the authorized representative’s ID. YOUR REPRESENTATIVE MUST PRESENT THE AUTHORIZATION LETTER, PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR VALID ID, AND HIS/HER OWN VALID ID TO THE GUARD BEFORE ENTERING THE CAMPUS.
5. Those who are not available to claim their togas on the said dates may claim their togas directly from Digilearn Multimedia Corporation located at 102 Ipil St., Marikina Heights, Marikina City. For inquiries, you may contact Ms. Christian Eunice Hernane at 09178691640 or cehernane@digilearn.com.ph and Ms. Mae Abringegsa at 09177160949 or mae.abringegsa@gmail.com .

6. Those who are not available to claim their invitations and tickets may get in touch with the OVPLS at  askvpls@ateneo.edu.

4. Schedule of Commencement Activities

All Commencement activities will start on time. Please come early.

● Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Rites*
*The Baccalaureate Mass and the Commencement Rites will be for graduates only. Only graduates with tickets and wearing togas will be allowed in the venue.

When: August 27, 2022 (Saturday)
Time: 7:30 am
Time: 9:00 am
Where: HS Covered Courts
*Attire: AB/BS/BFA College Graduates -Toga
Graduate Students - Toga & Hood

5. Schedules of Commencement Exercises

All Commencement activities will start on time. Please come early.

● Gokongwei Brothers School of Education and Learning Design, School of Humanities & School of Science and Engineering

When: August 27, 2022 (Saturday)
Time: 3:00 pm (Assembly - 2:00 pm)
Where: HS Covered Courts
*Attire: AB/BS/BFA College Graduates –Toga, Ateneo medallion & cord (worn on the right shoulder)
Graduate Students – Toga, Hood (folded and draped over the right arm) & Cap (w/ tassel on right side of cap)
Assembly area: Montserrat

● School of Social Sciences

When: August 29, 2022 (Monday)
Time: 9:00 am (Assembly - 8:00 am)

●John Gokongwei School of Management
When: August 29, 2022 (Monday)
Time: 3:00 pm (Assembly - 2:00 pm)

Where: HS Covered Courts
*Attire: AB/BS/BFA College Graduates –Toga, Ateneo medallion & cord (worn on the right shoulder)
Graduate Students – Toga, Hood (folded and draped over the right arm) & Cap (w/ tassel on right side of cap)
Assembly area: Montserrat

6. Distribution of Diplomas for College & Graduate Students and Return of Togas to Digilearn Multimedia Corporation Personnel.

Graduates must claim their diplomas personally and return the toga immediately after the commencement exercises at the designated room for diploma claim and toga return until 12:30 p.m. for the SOSS graduation and 7:00 p.m. for the GBSEALD/SOH/SOSE and JGSOM graduation. Failure to do so will result in payment of a late return or lost toga penalty fee to Digilearn Multimedia Corporation prior to the release of the diploma.

(Alphabetical groupings in the designated rooms will be posted on graduation day.)

7. Required Attire under the Toga for all Graduating Students

Women:
a. Formal dress/blouse with skirt, not longer than the toga, or dark-colored formal pants with blouse.
b. Footwear-dark-colored leather shoes, preferably closed-toe with heels of not more than 3 inches.
c. NOT ALLOWED: jeans, casual pants, shorts, gowns; light or brightly colored shoes, rubber shoes, sneakers, boots, high heeled shoes/stilettos of more than 3 inches, step-ins, flat mules, flat sandals, slippers

Men:
d. Long-sleeved collared shirt with necktie, or beige long-sleeved formal barong: dark-colored (black, dark brown, dark blue) formal pants.
e. Footwear-dark-colored leather shoes and socks, preferably black.
f. NOT allowed: jeans, casual pants, shorts, short sleeved tops; light or brightly-colored shoes, rubber shoes, sneakers, loafers, sandals, slippers or any type of open shoes.

8. Parking and Traffic Flow

Vehicles will not be allowed entry to the High School campus before and during the Baccalaureate mass and graduation ceremonies. A shuttle service will be made available for graduating students, their families and guests, and the rest of the community at assigned pick-up and drop-off points near designated parking areas.

Vehicles will be allowed entry to the High School parking area after the activities; please expect heavy traffic at this time. To avoid traffic, everyone is encouraged to walk or avail of the shuttle service back to the parking areas.
The one-way traffic scheme will be observed at all times.

9. Livestream Areas

There will be livestream areas at the High School Cafeteria, the Senior High School Foyer, and Leong Hall Auditorium.

10. Non-attendance at GBSEALD/SOH/SOSE, SOSS, or JGSOM Commencement Exercises

Graduating students who will not be able to attend their school’s Commencement Exercises must fill up this Google Form on or before Saturday, 13 August 2022: http://go.ateneo.edu/LSCommencement2022-NonAttendance

11. Contingency Plans

In the event of a typhoon that leads to the postponement of activities on August 27, the Baccalaureate Mass and the Commencement Rites will be moved to August 28, 7:30 a.m.

All activities will be postponed at COVID Alert Level II or higher. Contingency measures for activities that are postponed will be announced at a later date.
