Important Reminders for the Recognition Rites Batch 2020 and Batch 2021 (OVPLS)

1. Participants at the Recognition Rites for Batch 2020 and Batch 2021.

Only graduates of Batch 2020 and Batch 2021 who previously signed up at this Google Form: go.ateneo.edu/LSRecogAttendance2021 and indicated that they will attend the entire onsite recognition ceremony may participate in the Recognition Rites for Batch 2020 and 2021 and only their names will be called during the rites.

2. Instruction Video and Graduation Announcements

In lieu of rehearsals, an instruction video will be posted on this site by August 22: https://sites.google.com/ateneo.edu/ls-one/pagtatapos-2022/recognition-rites-for-batches-20-21.

The Recognition Rites will be live streamed from this site: https://www.ateneo.edu/ls/commencement.

3. Distribution of Invitations, Tickets, and Togas

When: August 9 -13, 2022 (Tuesday to Saturday) Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 nn and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Where: Faber Hall 101

REMINDERS:

1. Each graduate who previously signed up at this Google Form: go.ateneo.edu/LSRecogAttendance2021 and indicated that they will attend the entire onsite recognition ceremony can bring up to two (2) guests to the Recognition Rites. These graduates will receive one ticket for themselves and two tickets for their guests. Tickets must be shown at the gates upon entering campus. Guests must also show their tickets to gain entry into the High School Covered Courts.

2. Please bring your Ateneo ID or any valid ID (with photo and signature) when claiming your toga, invitation, and tickets. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT YOUR ID OR PROOF OF PAYMENT OF YOUR TOGA RENTAL PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT TO THE GUARD BEFORE ENTERING THE CAMPUS.

3. You may authorize a representative to claim your toga, invitation, and tickets. The authorized representative must present the following: 1) a letter of authorization signed by the student; 2) a photocopy of the student’s Ateneo ID or any valid ID bearing the student’s photo and signature; 3) original and photocopy of the authorized representative’s ID. YOUR REPRESENTATIVE MUST PRESENT THE AUTHORIZATION LETTER, PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR VALID ID, AND HIS/HER OWN VALID ID TO THE GUARD BEFORE ENTERING THE CAMPUS.

4. Those who are not available to claim their togas on the said dates may claim their togas directly from Digilearn Multimedia Corporation located at 102 Ipil St., Marikina Heights, Marikina City. For inquiries, you may contact Ms. Christian Eunice Hernane at 09178691640 or cehernane@digilearn.com.ph and Ms. Mae Abringegsa at 09177160949 or mae.abringegsa@gmail.com.

5. Those who are not available to claim their tickets on the said dates may get in touch with the OVPLS at  askvpls@ateneo.edu.

4. Schedule of Recognition Rites

All Commencement activities will start on time. Please come early.

● Recognition Rites for Batch 2021

When: August 28, 2022 (Sunday)

Time: 9:00 am (Assembly - 8:00 am)

Where: HS Covered Courts

*Attire: AB/BS/BFA College Graduates –Toga, Ateneo medallion & cord, and medals, if any. Graduate Students – Toga, Hood & Cap (w/ tassel on left side of cap)

Assembly area: Montserrat

● Recognition Rites for Batch 2020

When: August 28, 2022 (Sunday)

Time: 3:00 pm (Assembly - 2:00 pm)

Where: HS Covered Courts

*Attire: AB/BS/BFA College Graduates –Toga, Ateneo medallion & cord and medals, if any. Graduate Students – Toga, Hood & Cap (w/ tassel on left side of cap)

Assembly area: Montserrat

5. Batch 2020 and 2021 Graduates Only Doing Campus Pictorials on August 28

Members of Batch 2020 and 2021 who indicated on go.ateneo.edu/LSRecogAttendance2021 that they just want to have pictures taken around campus without attending the recognition ceremonies may do so from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. onwards on August 28. They will be given 1 campus entry ticket for themselves and 2 campus entry tickets for their guests.

6. Return of Togas to Digilearn Multimedia Corporation Personnel and claiming of security deposit

Graduates must claim their security deposit personally and return the togas immediately after the commencement exercises at the designated room for toga return. The graduate must present his/her Ateneo ID or any valid ID (with photo and signature) to the Digilearn representative when claiming the security deposit.

● Batch 2021

When: August 28, 2022 (Sunday)

Time: Until 12:30 p.m.

Where: Promenade Of Our Lady

● Batch 2020

When: August 28, 2022 (Sunday)

Time: Until 7:00 p.m.

Where: Promenade Of Our Lady

(Alphabetical groupings in the designated rooms will be posted on the day of the recognition rites.)

7. Parking and Traffic Flow

Vehicles will not be allowed entry to the High School campus before and during the Recognition Rites. Shuttle service will be made available for graduates, their guests, and the rest of the community at assigned pick-up and drop-off points near designated parking areas. Vehicles will be allowed entry to the High School parking area after the activities; please expect heavy traffic at this time. To avoid traffic, everyone is encouraged to walk or avail of the shuttle service back to the parking areas. The one-way traffic scheme will be observed at all times.

8. Contingency Plans

All activities will be postponed at COVID Alert Level II or higher. Note that in the event of a typhoon that leads to the postponement of activities on August 27, the Baccalaureate Mass and the Commencement Rites will be moved to August 28, 7:30 a.m. which will lead to the postponement of the Batch 2021 recognition rites. Contingency measures for activities that are postponed will be announced at a later date.
