Demise of Ricardo S Po Sr (Memo U2122-030)

 

 

We extend our condolences to the Po family on the passing away of Ricardo S Po Sr on 11 October 2021. He is the father of Ateneo de Manila Trustee Christopher Po and Facilities and Physical Plant Board Committee member Leonardo Po.

Ricardo Sr is best known as the founder and Chairman Emeritus of Century Pacific Food Inc, which is now one of the largest food companies in the Philippines. Born to a poor family and having experienced hunger in his childhood, Ricardo Sr committed himself to helping alleviate hunger and improving nutrition in the country through various development partners including Ateneo-GK. In FY 2020–2021, the partnership with the Century Pacific Group allowed Gawad Kalinga to provide 4 million meals to over 35,000 children in 177 feeding sites.

We request the Ateneo de Manila University community to keep Ricardo S Po Sr and his bereaved family in your prayers.
