Director for Investment (Memo U2122-040)

Upon the recommendation of the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer (VPFT), I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Fernando “Dojo” J Sison III as Director for Investment effective 1 December 2021.
 
Under the supervision of the VPFT, the Director for Investment sets guidelines and strategies to optimize the value and manage the associated risks of the University’s funds, financial portfolios, and assets. 

Mr Sison was the Assistant to the VPFT for Investments since 2013. Dojo brings with him over 35 years of experience in the world of banking and finance. Prior to joining the Ateneo, he held executive positions with several subsidiaries of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) in the areas of investment management, retail funds distribution, syndications and underwriting, and asset management and trust. Dojo completed his education at the Ateneo de Manila from Grade School to a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies. He has an MBA from the University of the Philippines.

Concurrent with his new appointment as Director for Investment, he shall continue to serve as the Head of the University Business Affairs Office (UBAO), which he has capably performed since 2013.

On behalf of the Ateneo de Manila, I thank Dojo for his Ignatian readiness and commitment to serve as steward of the University’s financial resources.

As we welcome Dojo in his new role, we also thank the late Mr Edmund “Apoy” A Go for his expertise and valuable contribution as the University’s Director for Investment since 2010. We are grateful to him for a decade of generous service in this mission that is the Ateneo de Manila.
