Reorganization in the President’s Cluster (Memo U2223-086)

As part of the ongoing reorganization, some units which have been directly reporting to the President will instead directly report to an Assistant Vice President in the Higher Education Cluster. This reorganization will allow better attention given and more focused support to these units as they fulfill their mandates.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Research, Creative Work, and Innovation:

• University Research Council
• University Research Ethics Office
• Ateneo de Manila University Press
• Ateneo Intellectual Property Office

These changes will be effective 1 August 2023 when Dr Filomeno V Aguilar Jr will assume his office as AVP.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for University Partnerships and Internationalization:

• Office of International Relations
• Confucius Institute

These changes will be effective 1 June 2023 when Ms Ma Cristina M Alikpala will assume her office as AVP.

To facilitate a smooth transition for the offices affected by the reorganization, meetings will be arranged between the respective unit and office heads, as well as the newly appointed AVPs who will oversee them. Through this restructuring, we aim to enhance the synergy among service units within the Higher Education Cluster and to streamline processes.
