Mr Jose Antonio P Salvador, 1966-2023

With deep sadness, we inform the University community of the passing away of Mr Jose Antonio “Jonny” P Salvador, Principal of the Ateneo Junior High School, early this morning, 5 June 2023.

A true blue Atenean (GS’80, HS’84, AB Psychology ‘88, and MA Educational Administration ‘98), Jonny’s incandescent, warm, and pleasing personality made him one of the most beloved figures in the University. He dedicated his heart and soul to serving his alma mater, spending more than three decades working in the Basic Education unit as Head Counselor, Assistant Headmaster, and Officer-in-Charge in the Grade School and head of the formation and student affairs for Junior High School. In 2014, he became the first lay Headmaster of the Grade School. Four years later, he was appointed principal of the Junior High School.
