New Academic Head for the Ateneo School of Government (HE Memo#Y1.4)

Greetings everyone!

Beginning 1 August 2023, the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) will have a new Academic Head in the person of Javier Ranara Jimenez.

Mr Jimenez is bringing into this post more than 30 years of experience in government and non-government development work. In 2019, he ended a seven-year stint at the Department of Social Welfare and Development as Assistant Secretary assigned to the Policy and Plans Cluster of the Department. Mr Jimenez is no stranger to ASOG.  He has been a guest lecturer and teaching associate there since 2020. 

We thank Mr Jimenez for his generosity of spirit in accepting this important post in the Ateneo School of Government.

In the meantime, for the months of June and July 2023, Ms Ma Cristina M Alikpala will assist the ASOG on a half-time capacity as OIC for ASOG’s Academic Head’s office. Ms Alikpala used to hold the post of Academic Head in ASOG until she became AVP for University Partnerships and Internationalization (AVP-UPI) on 1 June 2023. 

We thank Ms Alikpala for her unwavering dedication to Ateneo’s mission by sharing her time with ASOG while simultaneously starting to make sense of her work in the office of the AVP for University Partnerships and Internationalization.
