Research GrantsWomen's Peace and Humanitarian Fund Call for ProposalsThe United Nations Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund has launched a Call for Proposals in the Philippines to support civil society organizations working to increase the meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes and response to conflict and humanitarian contexts. WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local women’s rights and women-led organizations to respond to the current situation in the Philippines through the following funding streams:
+To reinforce the institutional capacity of local civil society organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact. Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 250,000 USD *To finance programmatic activities of civil society organizations that ensure the (i) Increased meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes and response (aligned with WPHF Impact Area 2).
DOST-TAPI TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION FOR COMMERCIALIZATION (TECHNICOM) The Technology Innovation for Commercialization Program (TECHNiCOM) aims to fast-track the transfer, utilization, and commercialization of R&D outputs to contribute to the country’s sustainable development through relevant technological platforms.
13TH EAST ASIA SCIENCE AND INNOVATION AREA JOINT RESEARCH PROGRAM (E-ASIA JRP) CALL FOR PROPOSALS ON ALTERNATIVE ENERGYThe Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy andThe Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy andEmerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) together with the other e-ASIA member organizations are launching its 13th Call for proposals under the field of Alternative Energy.
ScholarshipsAudi Environmental Foundation Scholarship 2024The Audi Environmental Foundation actively supports research into new technologies and scientific methods for a liveable future. Its stated goal is to make a contribution to environmental protection and to create and promote ways of behaving sustainably.
Institute for Advanced Study in Asian Cultures and Theologies (IASACT)Institute for Advanced Study in Asian Cultures and Theologies (IASACT) is a four-week residential program that provides space and time for scholars to deepen their understanding of theologies and traditions. Participants undertake research and writing in the broad area of Asian cultures and theologies and complete a working paper while in residence. Starting from 2015, IASACT is organized by the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and funded by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia. Since 2004, 271 scholars from 131 institutions in 19 countries have benefited from the time IASACT affords for reflection, interaction and network-building. More information about the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia(link is external) IASACT has been a forum for research, writing and exchange of ideas on cultures and religions in Asia. More than 250 scholars participated in the Institute for the previous years as individual researchers. IASACT has been conducted online via Zoom between 2020, 2021 and 2022 because of the pandemic but resumed to a residential program in the summer of 2023.
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Full scholarships for 1 month stay in France for academics staff holding a PhD (all disciplines)Addressed to academic and research staff wishing to spend some time in a higher education or research institution in France, the Sejours Scientifiques De Haut Niveau (SSHN) also aims to be a tool to increase cooperation with French institutions. In 2023, two Filipino researchers were awarded this grant for a 2 weeks mobility. In 2024, the available budget should enable the Embassy of France three scientific visits of one month each, but the number of visits funded may be higher, depending on the available budget, the duration of the visits and/or potential co-financing obtained by the applicants. The scholarship includes a round-trip air ticket, a monthly allowance (young researcher: 1425 euros/week; senior researcher: 500 euros/week), health and repatriation insurance, and the visa fees. Accommodation can be booked through Campus France Paris. The rent would be then deducted from the grant.
