Featured Event

ISAC@DLSU Manila

ISAC and De La Salle University Manila (DLSU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to collaborate on the production and preservation of digital collections relevant to the social scientific study of Asian Catholics in contemporary societies.

To fulfill this mission, DLSU is establishing an ISAC Unit within the university. This research unit will be supervised by Dr. Bubbles Asor and serve two primary goals:

  • facilitating the production of digital collections relevant to the study of Asian Catholics through the collaboration of DLSU and ISAC.
  • facilitating collaborations between scholars from various institutions of the Philippines and the rest of ISAC.

Launch Event
 
On Feb. 21st, at noon, Brother Bernard Oca, FSC, President of DLSU Manila and the coordinators of ISAC will host an hybrid event to inaugurate the ISAC Unit.

This will be a privileged opportunity to further present the vision and mission of the research unit. We welcome social scientists, Church leaders, and practitioners interested in digital humanities and scientific research on Asian Catholics to join us. The launch event will stand as an opportunity to network, share insights and explore research opportunities and collaborations.

Research Grants

Call for Proposals for Civil Society Organisations in the Philippines 2024

The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen CSOs as independent actors of governance and development in their own right.
The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:

Strengthened capacities of local CSOs’ to engage in policy dialogue at national level and in dialogue, implementation and monitoring of national development plans and programmes;

  1. Improved capacity and ability of local civil society partners to uphold and promote an enabling environment in the Philippines;
  2. Strengthened capacity of local CSOs to engage in gender equality and youth inclusion and strengthened capacity of local women's and youth partner CSOs.

The priority(ies) of this call for proposals are:

  1. Support the implementation of the Women Peace and Security (WPS) agenda nation-wide;
  2. Enhance community resilience through circular green economy;
  3. Fostering the use of digital technologies as an enabler for good governance

PCHRD 2024 Call for Proposals (for 2026 Funding)

The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), one of the sectoral planning councils of DOST, greatly recognizes the importance of R&D in addressing the health issues of the country. In support of the operationalization of RA 11337, PCHRD created a Startup Research Grant Program under DOST SGF that aims to support research activities of startups in the health sector.

Objectives of the Program:

The PCHRD Startup Research Grant Program will provide financial support to qualified startups to conduct research activities aimed at:

  1. Overcoming R&D roadblocks;
  2. Strengthening intellectual property (IP);
  3. Establishing initial market traction;
  4. Refining business model; and/or
  5. Scaling up production.
  6. Benefits to Startups:

Recipients of research grants under this program are entitled to receive the following benefits:

  1. Access to the DOST/Council’s GIA Program
  2. Access to follow-up financial assistance for scale-up and expansion offered by other DOST offices and agencies
  3. Access to the science and technology network of the DOST and the Philippine National Health Research System
  4. Access to DOST Testing Laboratories and Research Facilities
  5. Access to the DOST Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Network

PCHRD CALL FOR PROPOSALS: 13th Joint Call for Proposals of the e-ASIA Joint Research Program (e-ASIA JRP)

The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) invites interested Filipino researchers to submit proposals under the 13th Joint Call for Proposals of the e-ASIA Joint Research Program (e-ASIA JRP) in the fields of health research.

The aim of the Joint Call is to strengthen multilateral collaboration among researchers of the countries participating in the call and to solve issues common across the region, in the overarching area of “Food & Health” on the specific field of Personalized Nutrition, Functional and Future Foods.

Also, this call emphasizes the pursuit of research excellence in the advancement of food and food processes research to achieve specific health benefits.

Scholarships

TaiwanICDF International HE Scholarship Program

International education and training has long been one of the TaiwanICDF’s core operations, among many others. Human resources development programs play a vital role in assisting partner countries achieve sustainable development, and education is a crucial mechanism for training workforces in developing countries. The TaiwanICDF provides scholarships for higher education and has developed undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. programs in cooperation with renowned partner universities in Taiwan.

The TaiwanICDF has established the Taiwan International Cooperation Alliance (TICA) with 23 partner universities, setting up an operational platform under this TICA framework to manage and improve the scholarship program. In 2024, there are 29 programs offered for TaiwanICDF Scholarship application. More information about each of the programs offered in 2024, please refer to their individual website.
