The Higher Education Community
FROM:
[Sgd.] Czarina Saloma-Akpedonu, Dr. rer. soc.
Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Vice President for Higher Education
SUBJECT:
Suspension of Afternoon Classes on Saturday, 19 July 2025
Please be advised that classes in the Schools of Education and Learning Design, Humanities, Management, Science and Engineering, and Social Sciences are suspended starting 2:30 p.m. today. This is due to the continuous rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Storm Crising. The university has also received an advisory from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority about the closure of some parts of Katipunan Avenue due to a fallen Meralco main power post and a billboard. The fallen Meralco main power post has caused a sudden power outage on campus as announced by the Central Facilities Management Office.
For the Schools of Medicine and Public Health, Law, Government, and Business, the respective Deans of these schools shall make the necessary announcements that are appropriate to their contexts.
Please be guided accordingly. Let us pray for each other's safety during this inclement weather.
Thank you.
