Last November 11, 2022, the Communities Core Team of the Lights for Hope (LFH) student group, a student arm of the Mission Integration Cluster, spearheaded their Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar this year to over 60 Grade 10 students of LFH’s partner school, Concepcion Integrated School (CIS) in Marikina City.
This year’s guest speaker was Ms. Analyn Roquita M. Ripotola, MA, RGC, a guidance counselor of the Loyola Schools Office of Guidance and Counseling, who spoke on the important topic of teenage pregnancy.
The GAD seminar was aimed at creating a more informed perspective and culture for the school’s student body, together with the goal of improving relationships among students, and fostering a healthier mindset toward adolescent identity, growth and development, and relationships. Students actively participated in group discussions and presentations where they shared some of the common issues they face as teenagers.
