Pathways launches workshop on Ignatian Discernment

The pandemic taught us that self-care is so important to our overall well-being. Last week, Pathways launched the pilot of its Discernment Workshop – a four-week hybrid program aimed at introducing Pathways participants to self-awareness and the Examen as the first steps in their journey towards discovering Ignatian Discernment.

The week started with the workshop launched on the Canvas platform last January 23, and ended with its first in-person meeting on Saturday, January 28. Participants were formed into smaller groups called Discernment Circles. These circles will be their safe space for deep listening as they go through the course and share their realizations with each other. Our facilitators are a combination of amazing volunteers from the Ateneo’s Campus Ministry Office, Junior High School and the Loyola School of Theology, as well as Pathways alumni from Batches 11 to 14. We were also happy to have our youngest participants – college freshmen and sophomores – help out as well!

The face-to-face gathering last Saturday gave them the opportunity to get to know their facilitators and each other a little better as they will journey together throughout these next four weeks of both synchronous and asynchronous activities.
