[AGS] Teacher's Day Celebration

What do Mark Zuckerberg, Harry Potter, Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Michael Jordan have in common? 
These super achievers all have mentors. Microsoft founder Steve Jobs mentored Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Professor Dumbledore mentored Harry Potter. Former NBA player Dell Curry mentored his son Stephen Curry. Dwyane Wade is a mentor to NBA player Jimmy Butler. Famed North Carolina basketball coach, Dean Smith, was a mentor to the great Michael Jordan. And the list goes on. Our mentors’ teachings guide us beyond the four walls of our classrooms.

Most, if not all, the greatest and most successful champions and leaders need a mentor or teacher to guide them to be the best they can be and to accomplish their goals. For us students, it is our beloved, hard-working, and ever-dependable teachers and formators who lead us to the path of success.

Every year, we celebrate Teacher’s Day on February 14. This year, we celebrate Teacher’s Day with the theme, “Wings for our Dreams, Courage to Soar.” On this day, we recognize, appreciate, and celebrate our teachers and formators for shaping our young minds. We pay tribute to our teachers for their meaningful lessons and insights. These will truly help us in the future.  

They say Real Heroes Teach! We believe in this. We also believe that the best way to show appreciation for our teachers is to follow their teachings. Our teachers and formators teach us, young eaglets, to be the best versions of ourselves, enabling us to use our wings to reach for our dreams and giving us the courage to soar together in our journey with Christ.
