AJHS holds first ever co-ed mother-and-child bonding event

Dear Grade 7 Mothers, Female Guardians, our Daughters & Sons, 

16 March 2025, marked a historic event in the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School, when over 1,000 Grade 7 students, their moms and female guardians gathered together to celebrate the special bond between Mother and Child. For the very first time, this year's event welcomed not only mothers and sons but also mothers and daughters, as AJHS embraced co-education for the first time in School Year 2024-2025.  

Named "Mom and Me: Together We Slay Every Step of the Way," the event was organized by the Grade 7 Council of the Parents Union for School and Home (PUSH) of the Ateneo Junior High School (AJHS) and the Office of Parent Relations and Programs (PReP) with the assistance of OneCore, Inc Facilitators. 

The activity focused on deepening understanding and communication between the mothers and their children, strengthening bonds through shared experiences, and building a stronger relationship through effective conflict resolution.  

Grade 7 Council Chair Couple Andrew & Ricci Dela Cruz, the Grade 7 Class Parent Representatives, together with the PReP Director  Fr Bert Ampil SJ, extend their heartfelt appreciation for the generous and enthusiastic participation of the Grade 7 Mothers/Female Guardians, sons and daughters. 

It was truly a happy day for all!
