Ateneo Global and ASEC hold send-off dinner for 100 IXS

The Office of the Assistant Vice President for University Partnerships and Internationalization (OAVP-UPI), also known as Ateneo Global, together with its dynamic student arm, the Ateneo Student Exchange Council (ASEC), hosted a heartfelt send-off dinner last Monday, 28 April 2025, for 100 inbound international exchange students (IXS).

Held at the PLDT-Convergent Technologies Center (CTC), the evening was a celebration of friendships, cultural exchange, and the shared experiences that defined the students' time at Ateneo de Manila University.

The program included a lively Family Feud-style game, where students answered fun and challenging questions about the world, the Philippines, and Ateneo. Adding a meaningful touch, IZN@Home—one of the sections of OAVP-UPI—organized Saloobin, a thank-you card activity where students exchanged handwritten notes to express their appreciation to friends, peers, professors, and the offices and departments that supported them throughout their stay. The evening ended with heartfelt speeches from a few IXS students, who shared their reflections and gratitude for their Ateneo IXS journey. The festive event created a warm and joyful atmosphere, fostering camaraderie and leaving everyone with cherished memories.
