Following overwhelming audience response and a series of fully packed shows, Areté is pleased to announce two added performances of Si Faust (After Goethe) on 29 November, scheduled at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. These new shows come after what was originally slated to be the production’s final performance last Sunday.

In an unforgettable turn of events, the audience of the supposed closing show was treated to a rare and powerful surprise: a live performance by the iconic 90s band—and the musical backbone of the production—Wolfgang. Their set brought the Doreen Black Box Theater to life with electrifying performances of Halik ni Hudas, Sandata, Mata ng Diyos, and Center of the Sun as a triumphant encore.

During the set, frontman Basti Artadi honored the late Wolfgang bassist Mon Legaspi, who passed away a few years ago. His tribute delivered a heartfelt moment that resonated deeply with longtime fans and new audiences alike, celebrating Legaspi’s memory and the legacy he left behind.

Co-created by Basti Artadi and director Nelsito Gomez, Si Faust (after Goethe) continues to draw acclaim for its visceral storytelling, bold theatricality, and the powerhouse music of Wolfgang—presented in celebration of the band’s 30th anniversary. The production stars Joseton Vergel De Dios as Faust, Maita Ponce as Mephistopheles, Shaira Opsimaras Marga, Joshua Cabiladas as Tiño, and Matel Patayon as Martha, supported by an exceptional ensemble whose performances have consistently captivated audiences.

These added 29 November shows offer theatergoers one final opportunity to experience the production that has become a highlight of Areté’s Pumpon ng Rosas season—a tribute to new beginnings, inspiration, and the vitality of contemporary theater.
