Ateneo Global and ASEC hold send-off dinner for 121 IXS

The Office of the Assistant Vice President for University Partnerships and Internationalization (OAVP-UPI), also known as Ateneo Global, together with its dynamic student arm, the Ateneo Student Exchange Council (ASEC), hosted a heartfelt send-off dinner last 14 November 2025, for 121 inbound international exchange students (IXS).

The students gathered in Faber Hall 101 for an evening of games, friendship, and holiday cheer. The program included a fun and interactive Family feud-style game, where students answered questions about the holiday season. This was followed by a lively round of gift-giving, giving students the chance to exchange small tokens and take home a meaningful keepsake from the celebration and their time in the Philippines.

After a warm and festive dinner, IZN@Home—one of the sections of OAVP-UPI—organized Saloobin, a thank-you card activity where students exchanged handwritten notes to express their appreciation to friends, peers, professors, and the offices and departments that supported them throughout their stay. The evening concluded with a touching video montage capturing moments shared by the IXS and ASEC students during their time in the Philippines.

The send-off dinner created a warm and joyful atmosphere, fostering camaraderie and leaving everyone with cherished memories.

Ultimately, the celebration reflects Ateneo’s deep commitment to building global connections and bridging cultural divides, underscoring its leadership in internationalization and global engagement.
