Grade 1 Ateneans visit Avilon Zoo
14 Jan 2026 | Mrs. Ann Libatique, Grade 1 Class Teacher
On November 28 and December 10, 2025, our Grade 1 Ateneans enjoyed a memorable and enriching field trip to Avilon Zoo in Montalban, Rizal. As the students explored the different areas, they were amazed by fascinating animals, including capybaras, orangutans, and arapaimas. During the guided tour, they learned the importance of caring for animals and protecting wildlife. The boys and girls listened attentively, asked thoughtful questions, and followed the zoo rules responsibly.
A highlight of the visit was the animal feeding activity, where students excitedly observed and fed the giraffe, bear, and hippopotamus, gaining a close-up understanding of their eating habits.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm, and respect for both the animals and one another. Observing these God-made creatures firsthand allowed our boys and girls to learn about their habits and habitats, deepening their appreciation for nature and encouraging positive behavior. The field trip provided a meaningful learning experience beyond the classroom.
It was truly a joyful and unforgettable day, filled with wonder, learning, and excitement for all!
