Born from literature, memory, and grief, Sisa returns to the figure of Rizal’s most wounded mother and listens to her again, this time through the voices of women whose lives have been shaped by violence in our own time. Drawing from the lived experiences of mothers affected by state violence in the Philippines and by the Israel-Palestine conflict, the performance asks how mourning, love, and resistance endure across history.
