[AGS] Music, Art, SiPag Week 2026
09 Feb 2026
February is widely known as the Month of Love. However, it is also a time to celebrate our love for the arts as we usher in National Arts Month 2026 — a time to recognize, appreciate, and take pride in the richness of Filipino artistry and creativity.
Led by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), through the Subcommission on the Arts, in partnership with the Conrado Ladislawa Alcantara Foundation Inc., this year’s celebration carries the theme “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting.” The theme highlights the vital role of the arts in upholding truth, courage, and collaboration, while inspiring both the old and the young to actively engage in shaping livable communities, responsible governance, and a sustainable society.
This year’s theme affirms that art is not merely a product of individual creativity. More than a showcase of talent, we are invited to see art as a powerful reflection of shared experiences and collective aspirations. We are reminded that art is shaped by communities and fueled by purpose. Art is an expression of truth and valor. It becomes a source of hope and a guiding force, encouraging all of us to think critically, express boldly, and contribute meaningfully toward a more just and progressive future.
