The Ateneo SALT Institute is Hiring: Multimedia Designer

Job Title: Multimedia Designer - The Ateneo SALT Institute

MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER

Part-time, February to August 2023 (Renewable)

The multimedia designer leads the production of multimedia content for online courses. In particular, this team member is accountable for creating digital learning content that applies sound aesthetics and learning design principles.

The multimedia designer works closely with the faculty/subject matter expert, the learning designer, and the Ateneo SALT Team throughout an end-to-end development process.

The position is project and output-based, with an expectation to render approximately 40 hours a week, online or onsite (to be arranged with the team member, and based on project activity needs). 

The scope of work includes:

  • Attending scheduled meetings and workshops with subject matter experts and members of the design team.
  • Providing creative inputs in the visual execution of multimedia learning materials. This includes static graphics, videos, and interactive content.
  • Designing graphical elements that will be embedded in courses and video content.
  • Shooting video content in the studio or on location.
  • Editing video content - assembly, minor visual effects (static graphics/slides), occasional animated elements
  • Editing lecture slides in Google Slides

Qualifications

  • Has previous experience in video production and post-production
  • Proficient in Google Suite Apps (mail, docs, sheets, slides) and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in the design/development process
  • Interest/background/advocacy for education is a plus!
